UnsubCentral, a growing force in the email compliance software landscape, knows every company needs to be compliant, but do all companies know that? The brand knew most companies are unaware of compliance but was struggling to get its message to resonate with its audience.

Solution

This interesting challenge led me to immediately kick off the project with a couple of strategy exercises where we defined the brand’s buyer personas, buyer’s journey, and product positioning. Ultimately, it became clear that we needed to overcome several challenges:

 

  • Build awareness around the problem that the brand’s niche offering solves and demonstrate the brand’s value

  • Develop segmented messaging that resonates based on the job role of the prospect

  • Construct a clear funnel that converts a prospect into an opportunity and closes the opportunity into a deal

Process

Because we need to introduce a problem that the prospect doesn’t know exists, I crafted the central messaging that would be used across our marketing initiatives. Once that was finalized, I worked with our production team to create high-level educational content around compliance. The result was an ever-growing resource library that was used for inbound and digital advertising efforts.
